Things to do...

Hi, I've got a day to kill in Montreal and I was wondering what some fun things to do would be. I'm currently staying across the street from McGill, and am not opposed to using the metro or any other form of public transportation.

if its nice tomorrow, walk up the mountain. the trail starts at pine and peel (well a little west of peel), on the north side of the street.

or go to the atwater market (lionel-groulx metro stop). or the jean talon market (jean-talon metro stop).

go to the mall on st catherine.

walk up adn down st denis.

If it's nice out, walk around Old Montreal.

Climb Mont-Royal as suggested earlier. It's going to be one of those weird days where they're predicting snow but its going to be above zero, but the view's still nice.

Definately try to see areas outside of Downtown. I'm coloured because I used to live there, but I really recommend you get on the metro and head down over to Verdun (Green line stations LaSalle, De l'Eglise, and Verdun). There's great shopping and eating along Wellington Street, and walking along the St. Lawrence at sunset is pretty fun.

I'm with my dad and twin, and don't really want to spend a lot of money, so I guess after we buy some McGill gear from the bookstore we'll go check out Mt. Royal.
