Think I'm up for some merit money??

I am OOS, 1460 SAT, 3.9 (no weighting...went to school in NY), got a Tuition and also $$ from Engr. school..Didn't bother applying for Chancellor because its based on some bs stuff like volunteering and what not...

Yoshi: I think you should get something. As people said here, Pitt maybe biased towards OOS/val/sal...I don't know if there is truth to that, so play it out..I think 1350 is the minimum for Tuition scholarship, so you should be able to squeeze in. Good luck mate!

But the only problem I'm seeing in my app is my 3.8 UW GPA. Will that be one of the crucial factors in determining whetehr I get the full tuition or not? I mean, I've got a 34 ACT (~1520SAT) and I'm the sal of our class, so will that outweigh my low GPA?

IMO, you're a competitive candidte for merit $$; however, since you're in state, you may or may not get full tuition.... Many state universities are not too generous with merit $$ with their own in staters because tuition is already low for them....

So true. In-state residence is a liability. You will get something though.
