THINK Scholars 2013 - MIT Research Proposal Scholarship

Hey everyone,

If you have a research proposal that you are interested in pursuing, there is a program that is giving away scholarships to help you reach your goal. It is called THINK Scholars, and is run by a group of MIT students.
Here is the link: THINK Scholars Program 2013

The top 5 proposals will win the following:
- $1000 scholarship
- All expenses paid trip to MIT to attend Techfair: MIT Techfair
- Personalized tours of MIT laboratories
- Networking opportunities with MIT professors and Techfair companies
- Any additional awards provided by THINK sponsors

The guidelines are on the website. Pretty straightforward - under 12 pages. The deadline is January 12, so this will be helpful to the students who already started their proposal for another competition, but it's not unrealistic to finish it from scratch in 9 days.

Anyways, let me know if there are any questions. Happy New Year!

Do we get into MIT , if we win this :->
Just kidding, anyways I want to submit my proposal, although its already in effect in my country. Is that possible ?

Is a HS senior eligible?

US citizens/residents only. All HS students are eligible.

Why don’t these people ever go out of US???

^H8rz gonna h8 :(

I just read all the information about the program and I have a few questions:
1] What if we don’t know how long it will take to complete our project?
2] Will there be a penalty if we don’t complete our project on time?
3] Can we do this with no previous research experience?

Thanks!

1) give us your best estimate
2) not really but you should try your best and do everything you promise to do
3) yes!

Reminder: deadline is tonight at midnight!

Does anyone know what time winning proposals are being announced today?

What do you guys think of this year’s winners?
