Thinking about applying to non UC schools..need help

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I'm a native of California and growing up I've always set my eyes on UC's because I guess im a huge conformist and everyone from CA strives for UCB and UCLA. Last night I reevaluated some things and pondered about applying to other prestigious school. I figure it wouldn't hurt and it'd give me an opportunity to do something out of the ordinary.</p>

<p>My question to you guys here is which prestigious institutions that are comparable to UCB or UCLA are still open for applications?</p>
