I am second guessing my college decision. Here’s the deal-- I am definitely still going to give my college a chance throughout this semester and next. I don’t hate it or anything. However, I am not happy right either. I know you get over feeling homesick, it takes some people much longer to adjust, and there is still lots of time to make friends. However, here are the reasons I am considering transferring next year: I would transfer to an in state university (still ranked similar if not higher than my current one) which would cost considerably less. That alone seems like a big reason to transfer if I don’t absolutely love my school. Another reason is I now know what I want to major in and while my school has the broad major, the school I would transfer to has a concentration within that major I would like (and they have a minor I would like to take to complement the major). Thoughts on this? Again, I know it hasn’t even been two months and I am not throwing in the towel or anything, but I want to make sure I would be on top of my transfer if I chose to go through with it.
Might as well go ahead and apply to the other school. You will have lots of time to decide whether to stay or go.
