I'm still not sure Chuck was TOTALLY sincere with Lily. I mean. It's Chuck Bass. But Pianista, I totally know what you mean :)

BTW, the bathroom scene with Jack was kinda disturbing...

Oh and as for the Yale allusions. They must have given a really bad headache to the real Yale Dean. They convey so many false ideas (Uuh bullying your teacher to avoid getting a single B, because a B would OBVIOUSLY eradicate any chances you had to get off the waitlist? And what about that 2360 SAT score?) These just put so much emphasis on GPA & scores, as if they were the only factors that play a role in the adcom decision.

haha. yeah collegehopeful, what on earth do you mean when you say "the things i would do to rory gilmore?"

it's such an ambiguous thing to say -- offering no hints as to the underlying nuances of emotion and urge twisted within the letters of your seemingly random selection of words. the confusion evidenced in denebola's comment is shared by a plethora of cc spectators, who -- while scratching their heads and stroking their chins -- desperately are trying to decipher the meaning of your almost meaningless sentence; boggled more than they ever were by the collegeboard's beefy reading passages.

Maybe the Gossip Girl writers should consult CCers to make their show more true to life. I'm sure they could learn a lot from this site - it might stall production for a few days though. Too addictive.

OMG! hahaha i love that all of us are addicted to Gossip Girl! Ugh what bothers me is that they actually filmed at Columbia and not Yale when they went there this season (or last season, i forget!) Im happy Dan got in, but I really want to know about NATE! And isnt Vanessa supposed to be older than the others? I remember in the book she was... i forget though.

If the writers changed the show to reflect CCers, they would have to create a frame tale show that people on the show could be obsessed with, to the point where they posted ambiguous sentences about characters on the in show show on a popular college admissions threadboard.

@ Denebola: I'll give you a clue....my answers starts with

"It would pr" and ends with "obably involve incredible amounts of sexual dalliance."

^ lol I like how you had to EXPLAIN your innuendo, collegehopefull.

Just goes to show how sexually/socially ignorant some CCers are.

(FYI, guys, collegehopefull's phrase "The things I would do..." is an extremely common sexual phrase.)

Oh, and I totally agree. Rory Gilmore > Blair Waldorf. Blair may be hotter, but she's so bi+chy. Plus, Rory is the absolute Queen of Witty Repartee.

Oh no, you underestimate my ability to comprehend innuendo. I got the sexual part, but I wanted to know if you meant that creepily or not...you can never tell.

And yes! Another thing they did weirdly was to show Columbia instead of Yale...AGAIN! At least on Gilmore girls you knew they were filming in a set in Berkley, but they would periodically flash images of the outside of the REAL Yale.

lmao, oh collegehopeful, my boy. but dude, guys, i don't know -- i mean she's pretty hot and all, but there are much, much hotter girls on various other shows in her age group.

i mean, i'm not a watcher of these shows but uhh, blake lively -- a.k.a. serena van der woodsen, is ridiculously hot. like ridiculously. like as hot as the desert is on the sun. that's how hot she is. my girlfriend is hotter than her but like; i mean, even my girlfriend thinks this chick is hot.

i will leave you with this thought, crew. emma watson trumps these babes. and plus she know's magic. yale -- accept us all and emma watson.

haha i know all of the politically incorrect parts of that episode were also just killing me!
the timing, and the format of the decision on the eli account too! and how they implied a school quota... and they would never say who is first on the waiting list! Nor would they say that if one student (serena) gave it up, they would admit the next person from their school (blair). In reality, all qualified applicants would be considered for serenas spot.
and would any of you do what blair did to her teacher? what a brat.

and yes, the only 2360 score annoyed me, because from what i remember blair could barely break 2200 on her practice tests!

and we didnt find out about the others because it was supposed to be the Yale EA day. i guess in TV world, all the lvys dont notify together. And perhaps they applied RD

Careful with that asterisk worthy language, babe.

(I was just warned about using certain explicative phrases as superlatives for various things.....including the general atmosphere of Cornell, and the linguistics program at UPenn.)

hahahaha wow i totally didnt know the term for a female dog was going to be asterisked! and don't diss cornell :P, I'm just kidding, everyone has their own opinion, and I didn't like it much either until I talked to people who went there.

In fact, the large majority of the posts I've made this month have been typed in a comfortable green armchair in Malott library! (Cornell's math library).

An armchair that I'm thankful is comfortable, because the stupid lady that works in the administrative office told me that Linear Algebra was full. Fat ugly cow.

I made a compound to describe the atmosphere at Cornell.

So, there are two words in it.

The first one has the same first letter and last three letters as: F I R E T R U C K

And I stuck that onto "awesome", leaving a space to get around the profanity filter.

Apparently that makes me a bad person, so I have been warned.

Of course, now I'm not sure.....Is a criticism of a policy grounds for more action? Is explaining, (in roundabout terms using innocuous words....) grounds for more action?
