<p>I actually saw that one single episode just because it had Yale in it. (I'm a guy so that means Gossip Girl is avoided like the plague, no matter if the actresses are hot.) I thought it was a bit silly and overblown, but then again, I went in with the mentality that it would be ridiculous, so no wonder it did. </p>
<p>On the topic of watching 'girly' shows because the actress(es) are attractive, I will say that I started watching One Tree Hill because Sophia Bush = win. Even though I think the plot of the story is so melodramatic and hyperangsty and drawn out.</p>
<p>Really? I'm a guy, and I love watching Gossip Girl, Skins, Gilmore Girls, (No.....One Tree Hill is NOT included here).</p>

<p>I'll agree - teen drama shows are ridiculous.
But that's the very reason you would watch them; kids from the age of 14-18 living in a structured environment like home/ school can't so much engage in depth of emotion as they can extremes of emotion.</p>
<p>And that's what makes watching them fun! (Like....OH CRAP, DID THAT JUST HAPPEN!?)
That sort of thing is exciting, even though you know it's not real, like riding a rollercoaster.</p>
<p>And in the event watching 'girly' shows does make me effeminate, you should know that I woke up at 4 AM today to go run, lift, and study.</p>
<p>And because I don't have school today, I'm going to go shooting with a friend.

And remember when Blair got Nelly all messed after her boyfriend broke up with her the night before the SATs. So, what's going to happen cuz Gerogina is coming back. Will she trash Serena's chances at Brown. And when is Dan gonna start sneaking around with the new Mrs. Carr who just got done with Teach for America? Did she got to Yale?</p>
