i transferred in the middle of junior year from a hs in the north to another hs in the south and im in 5 ap classes. And I have the same people in my class every period. And these kids like knew each other since middle school and just ignore kids they dont know, like me, and dont socialize with anyone else. But in my regular classes its cool because the kids actually socialize but its too late now to make any long term friends. So now ive been here for a year and only 1 semester left till i can gtfo outta here and go to college and im glad it is almost over. Anyone else with a similar situation?

there's the south for ya...

^ lol'd

it will get better with time, just find out what kids are into and try to find clashing tastes.

yeah, it happens in my area with the catholic schools. Let me tell you, though, it may suck to be ignored as an outsider, but it's worse to be ignored when you've known people your whole life.

Also, try looking past your class as just one big group out to get you. There may be a person who hates school too, that you are just overlooking. Good luck!

"gtfo outta here," I would say, is a bit redundant.

It is not my situation, but I know kids in that situation. Just remember that here in the South there are really only a handful of us per school that have the cognitive capacity for AP classes, and we form tight-knit groups in order to survive the barrage of dawg barks and such.

yeah ive made a couple of friends but i only have 5 months left and ill probably never see them again.

I'm in a similar situation; however, I actually made a couple of friends and I'm not completely shunned. Can't wait till I go to college =]

You don't usually see high school people after highschool anyway, everyone moves on to bigger and better things like college..woo.
Unless they don't and you don't of course
