So i really want to o to UGA, but my junior year is probally going to kill me and automatically deny my admissino despite my other great talens and features not to metniona SPECTACULAR FIRST SEM SENIOR YEAR.

Here is an overview of my gpa over my hihgschol years and be prepared:/ :

Yeah, I wasnot prepared at all for Pre-Calculus and barely passed one year with a D and failed my second semester.... Yeah I know this is not good. Unforunately i wish since i have taken 5 years of highschool math, they could just throw that out but i know thats not the case.

So what Am i going to do?
I've already submitted my application, I know i could email them the information to change it on my application, but i dont recall an "additional comments" section. They said antyhing other then the required information your supposed to mail will get thrown out immediately..

I'm soooo confused...Ugh..

Please help me guys

I don’t know about UGA specifically, but most colleges are rational-- they will not disregard a polite, well formatted/written, honest letter. Make it short and formal, and send it by snail mail, either just to the office of admissions or maybe even to your regional representative.

I would recommend calling up the office of admissions and obtaining the name of your rep, or even asking the people on the phone about this issue. People in admissions are generally nice, and they will answer your question honestly.

If you end up sending a letter, just explain your issue-- be mature; don’t make excuses, just tell the truth. I’m sure they’ll understand-- they’re human :)

Thank you so much…This made me feeel better…Should i send it seperate from the rest of my materials…I plan on sending those out at the beginning of january(Transcript, Letters of recommendation)…Also if i can get opinions from more people, I would love it.

I would recommend sending the letter as soon as possible.

Doesn’t your counselor send out the letter of rec and transcript for you? That’s how it works at my school.

No, we have to print it out and give it to them to fill it out…Our school is just so wierd…our counselors don’t do anything…My counselor hardly even knows me(which is why I’m writing letter to her explaining what i do, my interest, etc)…but if they haven’t recieved the transcript…should sending the letter really be of good interest?

I don’t think the order in which you send things is an issue-- from what I’ve heard, as soon as admissions gets anything (be it a letter, test scores, an application, etc.) from you, a folder is opened in your name. The admissions committee throws all of your materials into the folder, and then looks at all of it together when your application is complete.

I’m not an admissions counselor, so I may be wrong, but that’s what I’ve heard.
