<p>My friend with a 4.16/4.2 and an 1180/1600 in state just got rejected. We had figured that it was because she applied to late, but it is not the case as a few people have been accepted since then from our school with much lower stats. what is going on? Was she over qualified?</p>
<p>I don't think so, they want high stats and have an honors college for 1400/1600. Did she apply to a certain school only?
I've heard living in CT that UConn is all over the place in admissions and sometimes a phone call will have them reconsider an application. They get so many and this year even more. It's not just numbers, they look at everything, including again, what school you are applying too and recs.
Maybe having a GC call will help, but there aren't any guarantees anymore with state schools.</p>
