<p>I mean my cousin's friend got accepted to the Storrs campus with SAT's of 1300, and a 2.5 GPA!?!? I really don't understand this, mine are much higher and my friends. My friend has a 2100 SAT and around 9th rank in our class and was on the waitlist?!? I got placed in the Waterbury campus, reason for i am not going to uconn....</p>

<p>While you would hope decisions aren’t arbitrary in some cases they will appear to be. But there are likely patterns there as well. If someone is accepted with a 2.5 you have to believe they are bringing something else to Storrs?</p>
<p>There are all kinds of factors. Minority students for example will not be expected to have the same board scores as the class as a whole.</p>
<p>^ oh, so we should assume the lower scores mean, she must be a minority. As opposed to the hundreds of other possibilities available to the admissions committee.</p>
