it's ok man. There's always transfer admissions

Stanford has a 1% acceptance rate for transfers...There isn't always transfer admissions. I'm going to go in there with as cheerful an attitude as possible and we'll see how it goes. At least NYU Stern gets recruited...

so i guess they didn't accept anyone this round? oh well. quagmire, looks like i'll see you at nyu stern :D

I couldn't afford NYU. =/ But that's alright. BU seems like it's a lot of fun!

Waaaaah I'm so depressed right now

my friend is going to be a sophomore at BU and she loves it so no worries! the atmosphere is similar to NYU so you're not going to miss out on much haha.

johnnyhoward: don't be too upset. as much as we all would've loved to attend Columbia, there will be a lot to gain from the colleges we're going to now too. it could even be a better experience than even what Columbia can offer.

The best part is that at BU, I only have around 8k a year to pay and my dad can pay that out of his pocket. ^_^ I did get some loans form BU and accepted them, but they add up to like 3k.

hey johnny check this out

apparently Vanderbilt is recruited, atleast by JPM (browse through the list. Vanderbilt is on it)

Lmao so is Utah State and Ohio Dominican...

and vassar. yess!

At least the waiting is over. We can all move on with our lives now...except me. I have to wait for Cornell Waiting List >_>

I'm still waiting on Rice's but I don't think I would choose Rice over Vandy, maybe if they admit me and give me more Fin Aid I could barter with Vandy.

Johnnyhoward3, vandy is a great school. If you still have your heart set on Columbia, get a 4.0 and a good reason to transfer, and you're likely to get into another highly ranked school (columbia/penn/brown etc.) if you transfer. Good luck wherever. I remember going to Cornell with your attitude, and now I'm at Penn.

So, how many of you got in?

No one. =/ Everyone from the Extended Waitlist was rejected.

There is a super-extended waitlist through August 1. Of course, no guarantees, etc.

I seriously doubt that's true.

No, there is. I know someone who's on it.

Not true at all

Oh, for real? No one on that extended POS waitlist got in? Interesting.

Whatever. Berkeley has a better bioengineering program than Columbia. Hell, I even turned down Duke BME. Screw Columbia ;)
Good luck all my fellow ex-waitlistees. Good fortune wherever you're going.
