This question goes to any high scorer on this forum. (silverturtle, anyone?) It might sound a little stupid but I think it is very pertinent. What was your state of mind, when you took the test? What did you think/say to yourself before you began the exam? Anything you do before the exam?

(On the June SAT, I told myself that to be cool, since it's just a test. I ended up by biting my nails for 10 mins of the essay-time. If that is not enough, during the rest of the sections, this is what went in my head "THIS IS THE REAL DEAL! YOU'VE BEEN WORKING YOUR A$$ off for this, DON'T SCREW UP!!". Needless to say, I did screw up. There was too much pressure. I hesitated in answering/darkening the circles, kept on rechecking and rechecking every math question I solved fearing I had mucked up.)

Oh my goodness. That’s a tad extreme, don’t you think?
I just went in focused and tried my best. Didn’t get an “amazing” score by CC standards, but I was satisfied. Plus there’s always a chance to retake. ;)

That sounds like a good advice. Focus. :)
