Those Leaving NYU: What are your reasons?

I think our school's location makes our college experience truly unique.

The reason we have such a high external transfer rate is that the unique nature of NYU isn’t appealing to everyone.

I love NYC, but I’m more of a nature girl at heart, I like outdoorsy activities like hiking.

I want a traditional college environment with a football team and all that jazz

I have a long commute and living with my family makes me bananas as they’re religious fundamentalists.

I don’t feel like I’m in college at all. I feel like I live at home fulltime and occasionally go to class.

I’m involved in clubs and have friends, but I don’t feel like an active part of college life.

Academics - I’m in LSP and I HATE this sad excuse for a program.

lack of diversity

I love nyu, i love manhattan, love most things about our school - except the price! i applied to suny binghamton and suny geneseo and will end up at one of those schools this fall. my financial situation isn’t what it was a year ago, and since nyu is notorious for sucky FA…i don’t have much choice.
