Thoughts on 2007 December SAT Reasoning

I dont want to jynx myself but I am 99% sure that I got an 800 math. I probably scored around 600 though on the CR and W. I'd be happy with a 2000.

I think it's because I am an international, so... we have different questions I think.

thanks duper. hopefully i can get around that

I thought the math was easy...easier than the PSAT. The one reading section about Dennis was the best!!! The shakespeare one dragged tho...

As to the question with the area of the square within the square with the bigger having an area of 36, you could see that one quarter of 36 was equal to 1/2 of the other square, so you do 36/4 then X2.

Yeah that parabola problem was just a little bit tough, i didn't manage my time efficiently and i skipped. Because i was so quiet; math section always be easy though. Maybe this tests curve will be more generous than others, because this times math was just a little bit tough

How do you guys think the curve will be? (im a first timer)

CR: -10
M: -4
W: 10 essay and -3 MC

How do you think that scores? (That's worse case for me...I thought the CR sucked balls, but the vocab was easy)

CR: 650
M: 700
W: 680

just a guess

I felt actually really good about the math this time around. Last time (March) I got a 650, but I think this time I understood everything. I hated the March math section. That parabola question this time sucked! I left it blank and then returned to it at the end when I was done and I was practically tearing my hair out about it... then at the last second I was suddenly struck by inspiration and I think I got it right. I don't know... my answer matched up with theirs on every problem, but it always makes me wonder if I was falling into some trap... I just hope I got a 700.

Essay question was not fun. I hope I did at least the same as last time in CR and W... those are always my best scores. I got 800 on the CR for my PSAT, but only 730 on the SAT CR last time. Maybe I got closer to an 800 this time. Hope hope hope!

I think the curve for international SAT should be lenient this time. The CR was brutal, completely brutal, and the writing was challenging as well (with traps everywhere).

azngamer54: XD I think his/her writing score should be higher, approximately 710~730 I would say, depending on curve though.

the essay wasnt bad. i wrote 2 full pages for like the first time ever. looking through most of the CR/Math andWriting threads, i think i'm looking at 1/2 wrong on writing (probably 12 on the essay), 2/3, and in the very very worst case 4 wrong for cr, 1 wrong on math i think.

so i'd say
790-770 writing
790-760 CR
~780 math

is that about right?

SO....DDS16 comes out of the SAT on Saturday, saying he can't say a word about the test .... and y'all are posting like crazy about it. Interesting.

what did everyone put on the question about the girl who worked as a governness where it said "She thought it hard that..."? They asked what hard meant in that sentence. I put onerous but I'm not sure if that's right. Two of the other choices were stark and petrified, but I don't remember the other two.

onerous. its been discussed
