'nuff said.

Well I get the sense that they don’t have very good financial aid. One kid I know applied for FA and applied to six schools. He got in everywhere except for Nobles. So, I think that it was b/c of FA that he was rejected from Nobles.

Do you know the six other schools?!

@Sundlun,
He applied to six schools total, so he got accepted in five places. He got into BB&N, SPS, BUA, Commonwealth, and Dexter. His parents didn’t really want him going to boarding school and they only let him apply to SPS b/c he wanted to go their so badly. He was really upset when they didn’t let him go to SPS.

I think that all of these schools, with the exception of SPS, are easier to get into than Nobles.

They all have different slants - and the admissions rates reflect this. BB&N is very competitive, but it is also right in the middle Cambridge making the commute very difficult for some. Dexter has, I believe, only recently expanded to upper grades so there is less to go on. SPS I don’t know at all. Commonwealth and BUA are VERY rigorous academically and have very small sports programs, and are in the middle of the city, so the applicant pool is somewhat more self-selecting than at Nobles which has a broader appeal.
