Do you know by any chance the deadline for NOVA BS/MD program?. The website says Feb 1st. I was on the call for 40 mins to talk to someone in the admissions office
The deadline to apply for the dual BSMD program is Feb 1 as told by an admissions officer.
Also there is an interview again in the final year of undergrad. Told by the admissions counsellor but I am not sure if this is true. The admissions officer told the student that even the BS/DO students have to attend an interview during their final year of undergrad. Again, I dont know if this is true or not but the undergrad admissions officer did tell this to the student who talked to them last week.
According to this adm off all this comes in the contract if selected.

Interesting to see university of Houston program. How many seats?
They had a program with UTH which was cancelled just about when they announced/started medical school. However they have had so few seats that they didnt kick off this program when the school started (first batch graduating this year). They only have 60 seats total at the moment but aim for 120 soon.
There is also one for UT Tyler but it is not starting in year 1. They are allowing people start becoming part of a group to be allowed to apply from several schools in year 3 or something but it has not been very clear yet how it works out. So one cant apply for it as BS/MD and have a reserved seat and even after it is not reserved but a pool is reserved for local students.

Usually, most pre-meds are on SDN.

Sorry what is SDN? Also is there any benefit to applying to multiple feeder colleges if your stats are good?

Looks like all the Florida BS MD programs are not direct admissions
USF needs interview , MCAT score, GPA 3.6? and other research, shadowing , volunteering
FAU needs all the above GPA 3.7 , interview not specified , but read in forum that it is needed
NSU GPA 3.7 , interview not specified but needs all the rest, this is 8 year program
NSU looks more expensive to out of state students âŠ
Wondering if these programs worth compared to traditional way going to regular in state schools for bachelorâs and trying to crack BSMD
We are late in the game and my DS has less ECâs and not much shadowing experience and the chances to get in other no MCAT BS MD programs is low and we are not sure if it is worth to apply to Nova or go in traditionally used pre med path and write MCAT.
For NJIT this year all interviews are in person and wondering how tough it is going to be for honors college.

Want to crack your interview? Keep useful interview tips in mind:

Know yourself and why you want to do medicine and why do you want to do at this BS/MD programâŠ. this is really the key. Questions like âTell me something about yourselfâ, âwhy do you want to pursue medicine?â and âwhat makes the program attractive to you?â are very common in interviews.

Know your application - even if no questions are asked from your application, you should know what you have written. More often than not, you will be asked details which you have to substantiate. Example: You have listed you have done research on impact of curcumin on cancer. Why did you chose this research? What challenges did you face in this research?

One-on-one interviews by nature are conversational- so have a conversation. Very few questions will be yes/no questions and hence you have the freedom to expand and âsteerâ the conversation towards your strengths.

âWill this person be my future colleague?â is something on the back of the mind of the interviewer when they interview you. How you project yourself, your calmness, your maturity and your knowledge is crucial.

People can see through fakery - so be yourself. Occasional âI do not knowâ is ok in the interviews.

Passion and confidence will take your far. Overconfidence will âkillâ you. And arrogance is one-way ticket to rejection.

Dress professionally. In my line of business work, I have seen people rejected for being dressed casually and unprofessionally. Keep enough mints and drink enough water to avoid getting your mouths dry.

Be there on time. Plan for delays and getting lost despite having a GPS. Ask for directions if lost.

Many interviewers ask you - âDo you have any questions for me?â Prepare for this - you should have at least 3 targeted questions for this. You can ask about their research program, ask the interviewer why he/she chose his/her specialty or what should one do over summer (depending on the conversation). Do NOT ask about will I get AP credits or will I get in.

Any experiences with LECOM BS/DO video interview and how long after the interview can we practically expect a decision? If someone has an acceptance % for LECOM BS/DO please share that too.
Very easy interview experience, but it was certainly difficult to get adjusted in an interview without a faceâ itâs you only! 
A decision is provided after 60 business days of the interview, and the acceptance rate is about 95-97%⊠Just do your best!
BIGGEST TIP: Make sure you look at LECOMâs social media & keep yourself well-groomed and dressed!
