I couldn't find a thread specifically dedicated to those who were accepted to Wharton in this round of decisions, so I made my own. Congrats to everyone that got in I can't wait to be a part of the Wharton community with all of you!

If anybody is looking to apply to Wharton, or wants to ask any questions, feel free as well. I think all of us are open books.

Congrats dmathews. Enjoy your time there – the energy of Wharton and the intelligence of Wharton undergrads is something I truly miss even though I graduated a while back.

How are my extracurriculars if i would like to apply to wharton?

The thing that worries me the most about my extracurriculars is the fact that i don’t think they are strong by any means which is due to several factors. Such as the fact that i am a female student living in Saudi Arabia. This is a great disadvantage on my part as it vastly limits my opportunities out of school. And of the activities my school does offer there are no leadership roles in them (I attend a british school). The only leadership roles available to us are senior prefects, student council reps and house reps (Not my age group). And i am currently in 10th grade but next year i will be switching school therefore i won’t be able to show commitment to some extracurriculars.

Will college take these factors in to condition when they are reviewing my application or will i get penalized for them?

My extracurriculars are as follows:

-2-4 years Basketball (1-2 year SAIKAC- National competition)
-2 Years senior prefect (Highest leader ship role you can achieve at my school for my Year group)
-Model UN (1-2 year)
-National Honor Society (will try for Leadership role)
-Volunteering (At Disabled Centre) - will aim for 100+ hours
-Work Experience (IDB a bank) - As i’d like to major in Finance/Accounting (I will shadow a chartered accountant for 1-2 weeks)
-Internship (Art)
-School Magazine (Editor in chief for 1 year), Contributor for 2 years
-Art Competition ( 5th place in a regional competition)

I was wondering if having passion in another field, such as Biology, would affect Wharton admission chances if resume is not Finance/ Business based.

If anyone has questions about Wharton in general. PM me!

I got into wharton as well pm me/AMA

@CollegeGoer789, I was recently accepted into Wharton, but most of my extracurricular and passion is in Environmental and Political aspects. Therefore do no worry. Wharton wants students with passion, as long as you can connect your passion in some form to business.

I have a quick question about the application process?

If you want to attend Wharton for an Undergraduate degree do you apply directly to UPenn or is there another procedure specifically for Wharton?

Thanks in Advance

You apply to Penn, but you choose wharton as the school you’re applying to

What’s up? Got into the Huntsman Program

sup billy! i’m not sure if you count as Wharton Class of 2018 though, since yours is huntsman. feels like two separate things even though it’s not really :D

p.s. loved the diet coke + mentos
