^ohh... but then why would you take it??

How does it reflect upon you if you have 99.99th percentile SAT I and extremely mediocre subject tests (say, 750 on Math IIC, which is 78th percentile)? :/ I feel like I'm the only one in this situation and I have no idea how it is perceived. D:

The SAT I percentile is a tad more impressive, I would say, because it is more reasoning ability and less knowledge. While not certain about this, I think it is a safe statement to say college like potential, which is demonstrated better by a high SAT I score than high SAT II scores.

Hmm. But knowledge and information retention are important, too! :/ Maybe they'll think that I'm, like, really good at basic stuff but suck at actually learning stuff, lol. Or that my SAT I was a fluke...!

OR they'll realize that I'm just too arrogant to study for information-based tests. >__> (Although if I were really THAT smart, I wouldn't NEED to prepare...)

agree with amciw, your scores show exactly what you did. You're obviously intelligent with potential but your lazy and arrogant. Could actually come off negaively, but the SAT I score is much more impressive...

Lul. I'd rather they think of me as lazy and arrogant than incapable. XD

true, but what if you did have the potential but you just didn't try and there was someone who was smart AND tried hard...

Good point. :/

That's probably why most other people with good SAT Is have equally good SAT IIs. 'Cause they're smart enough (as in common sense) to actually prep for them...

Or they're intelligent enough so that subject tests come naturally to them. I dunno. I don't know many people who do well on most subject tests without prep. (Lit is an exception since it's kind of like a more advanced CR. And although it's arguable that Math IIC, too, is more about math ability than memorization, everyone I know who did well on it prepped really hard. :/)

It would only come across as lazy on <700 scores. Anything above that demonstrates you cared/tried.

Well I do have that excellent 590.

But that is a question of straight knowledge, haha.

-___-

I should take the Spanish subject test just so I can complain (brag?) about an even lower score. I think that if you do good on the other tests, they would be inclined to ignore it.
