Throwing in the towel...

That's it. I have offically given up on trying to get in a relationship. I've tried & tried to be chivalrous and caring to females but they all ignore me after a weeks time.

Apparently treating a girl with respect makes you undesirable so my resignition isn't in vain. I just wanted a single girl to be with for at least a couple months to be able to care and express myself to but no, if you desire a girl for something besides sex it's creepy and boring. I will die a virgin not knowing what it felt like to kiss a girl or hold hands whilst girls flock to men who cheat on them and slap them around.

For the mean time, all I need is money and material possesions to fill this void in my heart. I was given the ***** end of the karmic stick and am just genetically predisposed to repulsing girls.

I don't know how stupid I was to actually keep trying, hoping that a female would even want to be in a relationship with me. False hope was my own worst enemy and I realize how foolish I was to even believe in myself.

Why is this in the law school forum?

Am I not a law student??

I was once in your position. Today, just a few years later, I am a happily married man. Things will change. It gets better. You may just need new surroundings and a fresh start. The most crucial thing is to believe in yourself and have confidence. Never give up. Make some friends, go to bars, parties, cafes, and events and just put yourself out there. You should try to communicate to women that you’re a fun guy to be around. Tell jokes. Make her laugh. Make her enjoy being with you. That’s the best way to show respect for a woman. You may get shot down once, twice, fifty, or a hundred times. That’s okay; it happens to most guys. Sometimes your relationships won’t work out. In fact, most of them won’t. But it’s okay: you live and you learn, and eventually you’ll find the right girl AS LONG AS YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND DON’T GIVE UP.

hypsmc42- Your post may not be in the “law school forum” category, but I won’t complain because I’m not in the “law school” category myself (reading out of interest). I do, however, feel somewhat qualified to respond to your post… You seem to be disappointed and somewhat jaded in your search, and you may even be getting bitter. Don’t do this because no one really wants to be around a bitter, angry person. The best things in life really do take time. So be patient, stay occupied, and get involved. Most importantly, stay positive because your negative attitude towards yourself is not helping. If you’re not feeling happy, pretend like you are. Fake it till you make it! Go where girls are. Go with your friends, because having friends around will make you feel better and look cooler. It may seem like some girls are attracted to jerks. They aren’t. If it seems like they are, it means they have personal problems and getting involved with jerks is a nice distraction. Some girls think they are attracted to jerks and then decide that they aren’t after finding one. Really, if you’re an intelligent, nice guy that has his passions and interests in life, there’s no reason why you can’t eventually find a nice girl that you’re attracted to and vice-versa. You may even want to see a therapist to help you learn how to stop beating yourself up. But don’t give up on your search for the right girl!

How old are you? 18? Give life a chance. Forget your expectations about what a relationship should or shouldn’t be. Meet people (as others have suggested) and have fun. Relationships will come naturally. If you are “searching” for a relationship, you are likely to continue have the same type of results you have experienced to date.
