hello! anyone heard anything from tier-one scholar seniors about what questions will be asked in the interview? the interview is fast approaching and I’m a bit anxious!

I don’t know either. I’m somewhat stressed, but hopefully it goes well. Good luck!

How do y’all think you did on the tier one invitational?

Hey
i attended the virtual one on the 13th. for me it was 2 30 am in the night lol (I live in india). I managed to stay awake throughout the interview till 5 30 am so I patted myself on the back for that.
It went pretty well. The zoom session had breakout rooms and in mine, it was me and another student with two current tier-one scholars and one professor. They asked about 4 formal questions and a few follow up/informal questions. overall, I’m happy with how it went. Leaving the rest to UH!

How about you??

I did the in person lol. We got a goody bag, their was an opening session than the interview which I felt went pretty well.

oh man missed out on the very important goody bag! lol
good for you, how many people attended the on-campus one, any idea?

Yeah, I would guess like 50-70 people.

Anyone here considering the HBS major?

whats that?

Has anyone heard back from U of H or know when we should be hearing any decisions?

Regarding the Tier One Scholarships, i think they said they’ll announce the Scholars by mid-March

This comment is for the prospective class of 2026. Thinking you will hear before mid-March…although things seem to have changed a lot here in the last two years. Pandemic related? Not sure. It seems to be getting more selective, which is awesome for the university. This scholarship should attract the best and the brightest; it offers that rare opportunity to get a great education for what is (essentially) free. if you are lucky enough to be offered this opportunity, carefully consider it. And check your financial aid portal regularly…it may show there before your offer letter (spoiler alert!) Got one offer several years back but chose to go to another college on the East coast with a similar financial package.

Can anyone share what type of stats are required for a Tier One Scholarship? Or at least to get an interview invitation?

And while we’re at it, what stats get you into the Honors Program?
