im going to be going to fordham next year and ive been trying to research the dorms...but im having trouble deciding between north and tierney. north seems like the more traditional college dorm but tierney is enticing with the AC/cheap broadway/yankee tickets and the manresa program seems really interesting too. but are the kids who stay at tierney totally isolated from every1 else? and ive heard its more of an "academic" dorm but do the kids there still tend to party or are they all mainly "straight edge?" and can someone explain the special class you have to take within the manresa program? thanks so muchh.

I liked the manresa program, the teachers are really good and so are the courses. There are a bunch of different courses you can take like art history or philosophy that are much better than the average core classes.

Yea tierney is isolated but it really isn’t that hard to meet people from other dorms. It’s about a 2 minute walk to the cafeteria so it’s not like some arduous trek across campus everytime you want to meet someone. Also, I wouldn’t believe anything about tierney being “straight edge”. People drink in their rooms (and get busted) all of the time…res life likes to believe we are the weed dorm as well due to the exorbitant amount of documentations regarding smoking as well…
