Okay, so can anyone actually explain what exactly the Manresa Program is? And don't give me the "soul, body, mind" crap that Fordham always gives...that's the vaguest description I've ever heard. In normal terms, WHAT is the Manresa Program, HOW does it benefit you, and what exactly does it require us to do that's different from the rest of the campus? Thanks for answering.

Haven’t heard of it.

That was a fantastic contribution, thanks. :|

Why so nasty?

Did you search it on the Fordham website? There is a whole section about it, list of courses, etc. It’s only at Rose Hill, my kid is going to LC, which is why I never heard of it. Just trying to help, which is more than anyone else on this entire website is doing for you.

My S did not do this program (he was in Queen’s) so I am very far from being a definitive source. But from what I gather the freshmen in Manresa take a seminar class or two with others in the program and have some activities together. I would guess that the goal is to help create a cohesive, close-knit group among those participating in the program. The only downside is that the rooms in Martyrs (where the program is now being housed) are not as large as the other dorms, but if you are interested in this environment, I would not let that stop you from doing it. I’d suggest looking at the website and if you want more information, call ResLife and see if someone there can help you. Good luck.
