Anyone else having to deal with this blatant money-grab by Clemson? My son was accepted to CU only if he starts on June 26th. If he enrolls in the summer, then he is accepted for the fall, but if we don’t pay an extra 11k for two three hour classes (and no more) then he’s out of luck. Is it just me or does this just seem like a way to make some money off of empty dorm rooms by extorting incoming freshman? What’s more, is that since we live in NJ, they want him to start school on the same day as his high school graduation. We’ve been in touch with the school, and they absolutely refuse to address the fact that they basically gave him an offer that he can’t accept. When I first spoke to CU admissions about it, they told me that this was the first year that they have tried the TTSB program and that they hadn’t considered that schools up north finish so late in the year…They clearly think he is qualified for the school since they offered him admission, but making it contingent on filling up their empty dorms is crappy.
