Times League Tables 2009

The latest London Times ranking of British universities is out.

For the 7th consecutive year, Oxfordtops the overall Times league table, even though [Cambridge /url actually seems to place first in most specialty rankings, including areas of study as diverse as natural sciences (physics and astronomy, chemistry, biological sciences), mathematics, computer science, economics, medicine, law, engineering (electrical, chemical, mechanical, aeronautical), modern languages (French, German), history and classics, philosophy, psychology, and social/political sciences.

[url=<a href="http://www.imperial.ac.uk">http://www.imperial.ac.uk</a>] Imperial College London](<a href="http://www.cam.ac.uk">http://www.cam.ac.uk</a>) and the London School of Economics placed third and fourth respectively in the Times ranking, followed by Scotland's University of St Andrews in fifth place.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say: we don't give a ****.
