Timing of SAT I...

Do they give you any breaks in between the 3 hours and 45 minutes of testing time? I do not get how the timing works. How many breaks (and how long) do you get? Is it different for everyone or....

I think it depends on the proctor. They gave me 2 breaks when I took it and provided bagels, juice, and fruit. Some test centers aren't so generous...

There is a 5 minute break after section 2, a 1 minute stretcher after 4, and a 5 minute after section 6.

Okay, so will it be somewhat like the PSAT where the proctor gives you a couple sections and then tells you you have ___ amount of time to complete those sections?

They won't just give you like an hour for a couple sections right? I haven't really practiced pacing...

Um, well, haha, that's kind of a problem... Nah, don't worry, lighten up, it's the day before the exam!

I think you get like around 30 minutes for each section. At the end of each section, they'll tell you to stop working and "Put your pencils down." That's when you take a breather and relax.

So yes, it will be like the PSAT.
