Okay guys, so I'm planning to attend my local community college this coming fall in hopes of transferring to a nice 4 years university in the future. Class will start around August and I just moved to this country so I don't really have plans for summer. Any ideas what I can do to prepare myself for community college during my spare time? I'm studying SAT but I don't really think its necessary since the school I'm planning to transfer doesn't require it. What should I do to be really well prepared for my upcoming community college and transferring plan? Anything I should know of and do you guys have any tips? Thanks in advance!!

You could email the professors for the classes you are enrolled in, see what textbooks are required, and study them a bit. If you’re taking a math class like Calculus, brush up on your trigonometry and algebra skills… Trust me. If you’re taking a humanities course, find it free online at MIT opencourseware(?) or coursera.

You can also pick up a useful skills, like learning the basics of coding or web design, whatever you think you would need in your future career path (or if you’re not sure, try a few things and see if you like it).

Thank you musiclover55 for your advice I am planning to volunteer in our local charity and maybe do some youth mentoring jobs if available. I want to do something worth my time during my summer break. And I’ll check out my local cc so I can study ahead hehe thanks again!
