I'm currently a sophomore and I will be taking the SAT's next year. I wanted to know if there's any way I can get a perfect score or at least over the 2000s on the test.

The best tip is to be smart.

^Nice, pretty helpful post there bud.

Basically, the best way to prepare would to get used to the test questions. If you are in AP/honors/IB/etc. classes, you should know the material, but you might not be used to the pace or the types of questions that are on the SAT. Also, when you do take it, get some rest the night before and don’t be anxious or nervous about taking it, and do not get hung up for too long on the questions you do not know or that confuse you.

OP asks a good question.

I thought SAT score reflects your ability/Intellect in reading, writing and Math. There is no way to bypass this. Is this not true? Unless you can push through by working hard, being persistence etc

^ that’s completely false. Anyone and everyone can work their way up to a perfect score. i got a 1780 on my psat this year and in a matter of 5 hard working months i got a 2400. It can be acheived, but only through hard work and dedication.

The SAT is more formulaic than that in my opinion. Already being strong in math/writing/reading definitely helps and can even allow you to score very highly without practice, but in order to become even better, there’s no substitute for practice tests. So the way to bypass not having inate ability in those subjects is by working through weaknesses on practice tests. Even without learning a whole lot more, just being familiar with the test layout should increase your score by a good amount.
