Tips for getting accepted into NYU as a transfer student?

Hello, I’m currently enrolled in a community college. I took a gap year before college and decided to go this route so that I could take time to figure out what I wanted to do before enrolling in a bigger university and switching majors or dropping out. I’m now confident that I want to pursue a creative career like graphic design, creative writing, photography, etc… I’m 21 and started my own small photography business in Denver. I am originally from Florida and decided to move back to continue my education. I am planning on transferring to a state university from the community college here for my Associates and then would like to apply to NYU to finish my Bachelor’s.

I would love some tips and recommendations for the application process as well as extracurriculars so that I can start planning ahead (still have about two semesters until I meet the recommended credits to transfer) and beef up my application. I’m also planning on opening a fashion film festival in two major Florida cities (have experience working for one). And have begun to start an online magazine in Denver. Not sure if these or my photography business would be notable achievements for my application. Thank you!
