Transferring into Syracuse

I am now a senior in high school and will be attending York College which is a Cuny school in NYC. My ultimate goal is to transfer into Syracuse University for my Spring Semester of sophomore year in 2020. I know that sounds far away but I want to make my freshman year of college really worth while to create a strong transfer application. Syracuse is after all my dream college and I want nothing more but to get in. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to start building on a strong transfer application. Maybe someone who has transferred into a Syracuse spring semester before? Also what is it like to be a Spring transfer student? What is the process of transferring credits like etc… Any tips on how to make my one year of York College strong enough for Syracuse admissions?

P.S I would be applying as an English Textual studies Major with a Concentration in Film at the College of Arts and Sciences. I plan to take an English major and theater minor in the college I will be attending this fall.

Talk to a Syracuse University transfer admissions counselor. This is your best avenue for true information.

Thank you. I called recently and asked about the transfer process and got good clarification.
