Tips for the interview

does anyone have any specific tips for the interview? “why brown?” “why intended course of study?” emphasize love for the open curriculum and why it’d be good for me? what else?!

Yes: Be yourself. I can't answer "why intended course of study" because I'm not you and I don't know what you like. We may applied to Brown for different reasons. But, I can give you some things about Brown that attract students. Brown is well know for diversity, relaxed but intellectual atmosphere, community feeling, Providence, excellent education, and great faculty and students who are willing to help each other.

Try and go deeper than "open curriculum". Talk about how it'll let you take specific classes you want to take, or how it'll be great for your major because it'll allow you to do things you couldn't do at other schools.

Like hairypotty said, you applied there for your own reasons, like the rest of us. Just mention those.

Don't interrupt.

Treat it for what it is, a chance for you to learn about Brown from an "expert."
