Tips to affording and gettting accepted into an out-of-state college?

I'm not really sure where to put this, so I put it here:

I am a sophomore in a Massachusetts high school and my dream college is in Florida. Florida State University to be exact. What does FSU look for (test scores, mcas, sats, honors, clubs, sports, etc). Do the SAT's and ACT's make a large difference? What about community service hours? Although I plan on doing as good s I can do what should I specifically work at to gain their attention?

What can I do money-wise. My family doesn't have a lot of money so what scholarships are available to me. If someone could list all the scholarships I qualify I would be so grateful. If you have any questions I would love to answer them! Thank you so much guys

Google “common data set FSU” for stats on admittees.

Or better yet, go to FSU’s site. You should do your own research, no?

Well, I have been looking around and all I can find is old information (2007-2009). I was looking for students attending now for what they felt helped them the most getting in. I’ve been looking and have found a lot, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any tips.
