To all Vassar students: !!!

Is there any kind of ceramics or pottery facility at or near Vassar? Thanks!!

Finally, someone asking the important question! Not that i know anything about vassar (besides that my friend is going there and that they sent me something). Anyway, i have yet to see this question asked about any university or college, and one reason i probalby didn't love occidental was because of the lack of on campus clay facilities. Good luck to you, claysoul.

I'd contact someone in the Arts Dept (studio art)to see what is on campus. For nearby resources, try contacting one of the people on this link http://www.hvnet.com/bl/r/R006/ARTS_0008_0000001746.htm

I actually saw some pottery facilities in Vassar's art rooms...so I'm pretty sure there are facilities accessible to art students.

you mean their studio aret program rooms? like classrooms? drool

It's the art students' workspace......yeah studio art rooms

hoho...just realized that I dedicated my 100th post to the Vassar board!!

were there pottery wheels? that's surprising because they don't offer any courses in the catalog!

Sorry I can't remember...you can contact the art department directly if you want further info

I'm sure that Vassar has these facilities. I have not seen the wheels personally, but I'll be quite surprised if they don't exist. Vassar has a solid art department (art history is highly renowned, too).
