To cancel or not to cancel...

I took SAT II tests in math IC and Literature today. I felt really good about the math exam and a confident I am in the mid 700's. But the Lit. test was completely different. I thought it was going to be much easier and I did not put much preparation into it at all. When the test began, I was overwhelmed. I would be shocked if I got anything above a 600.

So what do I do now? Do i keep the scores and retake to improve, or do I clean the slate (i.e. eliminate the dreadful Lit. score) and start out strong? As a note, I will be applying to top-tier colleges and need high scores on these tests. I am not sure whether or not they will mind if I have a horrible score the first time around and then imprve a lot. What do you guys think?

MOST only take your highest score, like for SAT I. Especially since it's just Literature, unless you're planning on majoring in English, they won't really care if you got a 590 the first time if you get a 700+ the second time.

You know, they could always be like, "Oh, he probably just had bad allergies that day." lol. But seriously, no need to cancel the scores.

yeah, don't cancel.
keep it and retake. you'll have to retake anyway, so at least find out just how badly (or well) you actually did.

Much appreciated words of comfort. Seeing my scores and then going from there is a very good point. Thanks for the help guys.

don't cancel (:

just see how you did
and just retake it!
