Seriously?

You don't need to be chanced, you're set. Your only job now is to make them want you. However, as is posted many times in these parts, BEING ASIAN DOESN'T HELP!!!!!!!! (just to get that tidbit out of the way)

Also, the "leadership conferences" don't help, either. I was invited about 5 times to the NSLC conference, and rejected it each time, and generally colleges consider them "priveliged-kid fluff" Still, you got the stats, so good luck!

Also, come chance me at
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/635063-small-town-junior-looking-advice-chances-big-name-schools-2.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/635063-small-town-junior-looking-advice-chances-big-name-schools-2.html</a> thanks!

Damn, the IVY league schools and ones like it that you are applying to have way to low acceptance rates, but you have a better chance than almost anyone ive seen so far so count on wisconsin, duke, Vandy, northwestern, Gtowna USC and UCLA to be in but the others theres almost no way of knowing, still i give a very good chance even for those schools
GOOD JOB

chance me back at
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/635725-chance-me-i-will-chance-back.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/635725-chance-me-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

Hey could I transfer to Cornell with a 3.43 as my first semester GPA or too low

I love overachiever kids like you who freak out about your chances for top schools b/c I get to say this to you guys:

No one can give you reliable chances because the chances of getting accepted by those colleges are very unpredictable and slim, so you might as well stop worrying and relax a bit. You're definitely qualified.

Sure, you're qualified, but hundreds if not thousands of qualified applicants get denied from Ivies and equivalents (see: Stanford) every year. Your chances there are not guaranteed and there is no way that we could be telling you that you have a good chance and be telling the truth unless you have a good hook going for you (URM, recruited athlete, your parents are movie stars/you are a movie star) which you don't. In fact (no offense) being Asian works against you at those top schools. As for the other schools (those listed below Duke), you can consider those your matches and your safeties, you should be fine at those.

bump (10 char)

bumpppppppp

anyone????

you've got a solid chance at all, and a solid chance to get a good scholarship at Vandy, USC and UW

Clearly you have exceptional chances for these schools, although all are hard to get into. Very strong chances at the less competitive schools. With Ivies and such you never really know, but you are certainly very qualified.

Best of Luck! :)
