prague. i want to go there one day, even though i feel like it'd be really awkward navigating a country w/o knowing the language

what's your favorite art movement and why?

prague. i want to go there one day, even though i feel like it'd be really awkward navigating a country w/o knowing the language

what's your favorite art movement and why?

wow, now that i look back on it, my question looks kinda pompous and lame (im going thru an art nouveau period right now. my room is covered w/ those poster things. i go thru periods. before that it was that musician juanes, and before that it was pitchers. ).

so how about another one? if you could learn any language, what would it be?

Haha, no worries. I'll answer both, then, I guess. I'm not really an artsy person, but I love impressionism. The blended colors, soft lines, and dreamlike quality have such a beautiful and calming effect. Monet is probably my favorite. Some of his works are the very image of paradise. Seurat is high on the list, as well.

As for a language...probably Latin or Greek.

Sunrises or sunsets?

Sunsets. I'm too tired too apreciate sunrises. (I also love impressionism, and like post-impressionism even more)

If there was one color that you had to wear on your person everyday, what color would it be?

Black. Simple and classic.

What do you like most about your current school?

The perks we get for being a magnet school. Basically people who are okay with being bright and/or nerdy and the trust and freedom we have.

Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? If not, what are you looking at majoring in?

probably a lawyer. but i'm not sure, because i'd love to spend time traveling and perhaps join the peace corp. i'm probably going to major in philosophy/humanities with possible minors in spanish, literature, women's studies. i want an emphasis on ethics/moral-ish side of law.

it'd be neat to be a doctor, cause then one could join doctors without borders, but unfortunately i'm not a science person. bio 2 was cool, but i'd much rather be in a class debating or discussing rather than regurgitating facts.

i could probably go on and on with what i want to do/my interests, so i'll just stop now.

what's the last movie you watched?

Just watched Stardust today! :)

What's your favorite weather?

omgosh! sorry to interrupt but i've been watching Stardust all weekend (it's actually playing in the background right now). i like the music in it a lot.

My favorite weather is sunny, warm, with a blue sky and a cool breeze. The kind of weather where you can wear a nice skirt and flip flops comfortably, without leggings or tights. :) Eh, this is what happens when you look outside and see that it's foggy, cold, and gray.

I'm watching Chuck Norris right now in Walker Texas Ranger, or something like that. I've never seen it before, but man is this the cheesiest show I've ever seen. Bad acting, overdramatic music, everything. What is the worst show you'v ever seen, or what do you think is the worst show?

I tend not to watch shows that I haven't heard good things about, but I used to watch cartoons often, and really, there is some truly terrible stuff on kid's channels. I remember one about.. wrestling? Mucha Lucha, or something. Ergh.

Do you ever get crushes on fictional characters? If so, whom?

Mmm yes, mostly characters from certain books. Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice was one of my first loves. There have been others (merely because I become so entranced in novels) but he definitely takes the cake.

Speaking of books, what is your favorite? (or top few, if literature is your love)

East of Eden is my favorite. Then Good Omens, and The Great Gatsby and Lord of the Flies.

What is the farthest you have ever traveled?

Rome, Italy from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

If you were one genre of music, what would you be?

I'd be dance music. I'm an outgoing, dramatic, happy romantic. But sometimes I'm really cheesy and naive, too. But I'll make you want to dance? :)

What high school stereotype are you? The popular cheerleader, the jock, the misunderstood artist, the new girl?

Xyai, I agree, that IS a horrible show!

I'm going to say nerd... but to be more specific, literary nerd. This is a particularly odd thing in the context of my school, where most everyone is going into science or business. (I have yet to find a fellow humanities major. Uhm.)

Where and how have you stored all your college-related post?

I would be a mango. Mostly because I'm craving one right now... but mangoes are just an all around wonderful thing to be. They're sweet and squishy and taste really good in mango lassis... yum!

If you could tell your first-grade self one thing, what would it be?

oops!! i was looking at the wrong page...

I've been keeping all my college mail stuffed in different drawers around my room and sometimes scattered on shelves, under the bed, etc.

soo... If you could tell your first-grade self one thing, what would it be?

Don't tell that boy that you like him, because he will laugh at you and go, "Ooh! Can I tell my friends?!"

What's your favorite store?

forever XXI

Do u play any sports and/or are you considering playing any sport at Wellesley?! (may i suggest crew!?!!!)
