To redo or not: SAT 1 vs SAT 2?

Hi all,

So I'm a senior just about to take his first SAT Math 2 and Physics tests tomorrow, and I don't think they will go too brilliantly. I ask this question to seek advice as to what tests should I take next, whether I should redo my SAT 1s and what to focus my energies on. This is my problem:

I have taken the SAT 1 two times so far, once with a score of 700 math, 670 writing and 740 reading and the second time with a 670 math, 700 writing and 800 reading (to make a superscore of 2200). This doesn't seem to be good enough. My reach schools include Stanford, Yale, MIT, Harvard Princeton and Columbia and with such a poor maths score (poor in comparison to many of my peers with perfect 800s) this is worrying. My second problem is that after tomorrow's (November) test date, that leaves December and January, and some universities (such as Stanford and Chicago) don't even accept the January test. I'm applying as an international student and I don't even know if that prolongs the score delivery time or not.

Should I retake the SAT 1 in December (to push my superscore up to a 2300 and math up to at least a 750) or should I focus on getting perfect 800s in Math 2 and Physics for the December test date and redo the SAT 1 in January for the universities that accept it?

Maybe another factor to consider: I take the IB and my predicted scores for Maths and Physics are a 5 and 6 respectively. I know these don't reflect my actual ability or what I aim to achieve in the examinations, but maybe a great SAT Math 2 and Physics grade will help smooth that over?

Are there any other options? I would be very grateful for any suggestions you could offer! :)

Thanks!

Retake the SAT; who knows, you might score well on your SAT II’s :)
