wow lol X# i don’t live in the berkshires… they’re all corn children over there shudder well the majority…

“corn children”?

is that a code-name for a drug?

no, they’re all beastly and violent (sports wise) in all those hill towns lol and they’re all blonde too… it’s really funny to watch them play ;)

You sound like you live in a weird country.

country? you strange brotha o.O

brotha…

I am in one of my “moods” right now where I have this natural weirdness/energy/hyperness/weirdness that usually comes out during the weekends when I don’t have all of the stress of homework in crap. It usually changes sunday. Saturdays are usually crazy.

WOAH I just realized, what you guys are talking about has like nothing to do with the Thread lol

someone is a little slow… (no offense)

when i read that my mind went “What is this thread anyway?” lol

Hahaa lol none taken, I was just reading what you guys were saying and then I realized that it was completely off topic xD

That happens in like EVERY thread on CC. The first couple posts relate to the topic and then someone starts saying one thing and another person builds off of it. and then it is history unless someone redirects the thread or points out that we are going off topic.

Yeah, I realized that after a while, I mean I am like not a n00b anymore but I am still not a full CC’er yet :D

If I am accepted to my first-choice school I plan on repeating the 11Th grade because i believe it would be more beneficial for me as a student and as a person.
I went to public school all my life so I’m not use to the workload of an independent school. At the school i hope to get in to the faculty help 11Th graders with manging time, homework and getting use to living on your own. The skills I need. Some schools do accept 12Th graders, but only if they are at the level of the 12Th grade students currently at the school; good writing, critical thinking, reading and math skills. These
12Th graders usually have attended an independent for a handful of years.

i got accepted to andover. I applied for junior year but they told me i would benefit more from the school if i repeat but im not sure what im going to do… But deft repeating gives you a higher chance of acceptance because basically the lower the grade you apply, the more spots they have open

^ higher you go up, fewer applicants (typically), so that logic doesn’t necessarily work

I am in a bit of a bind. My parents do not want me to repeat a grade. They give me two reasons. One I go to a small boarding school and it is a significant financial burden, and they are do not want to pay for another year. I tried to explain to them that the acceptance rate is lower with each year you apply. The other reason is they want me to focus on college. How can I convince them to let me apply as a repeat?

I don’t think it is a good idea to repeat ag grade because one year gap in your life can be big.(may be not, too). You have to really think hard what you can gain by repeating a grade. If you want to repeat a grade just because your previous garde is really bad, then you have to make sure that your grades are imroved significantly. I saw a student who repeated a grade to imrove the grades. the student did not do well even in the repeated grade. In that case, it was just waste of money, time, and efforts.
