Some schools will accept your ACTs in lieu of SATIIs. Look into that too.
@jym626 I’ve heard that a lot of schools will only take sat or act, not both (anybody feel free to correct me). I really don’t think I could get the act equivalent of my sat score (34-35), and I’d hate for my sat efforts to be in vain.
Where did you hear that, ambitionsquared? That does not sound like accurate information.
@BeCambridge Lol Alabama State isn’t in the playoffs…Alabama University is though lol
@jym626 Friends, which vary in their reliability lol. Let’s say I got a 32 act and skipped subject test requirements. Would colleges think less of my application because of a comparatively lower act score? Would it be better to just get 750+ in two subject tests instead of act?
I’d suggest you read the college’s websites to see what their policy is. That said, you can always take the subject tests, and, given you ACT scores, its likely you’ll do well. Ifnot, you dont have to send them
Sorry - darn you, MSU!
@ambitionsquared Some colleges in the south still have this mentality of pro-ACT. But most colleges now accept both the ACT and the SAT. Some people just happen to keep living in the past, when the SAT was the big dog.
ALL colleges accept either the ACT or SAT. Only one college still professes a preference (and that is a school in CA for the ACT!). The SAT traditionally was the primary test on the coasts with the ACT in the middle of the country. That is why some schools report more of one or the other sets of scores.
Are you serious? You are done testing.
