Well, I got a 2060 on my SATs.
It was my first time, absolutely no prep.
I got a 96 on my PSATs without prep, so I figured I'd see how it went.

730 Critical Reading and Writing (8 on the essay) and 600 in Mathematics.

I'm planning on appling to these schools:
1. Kenyon College (Possible ED)
2. Butler University
3. Otterbein College
4. Bowling Green State University
5. Carnegie Mellon University

My intended major is theatre or musical theatre, POSSIBLY double majoring in directing or vocal performance. It depends on the school.

I just don't know :/

I don't know much/anything about colleges 2-4.
At Kenyon, you're on the high end for CR and W but on the low end for M.
(I'm assuming you know this, but Kenyon middle 50% SATs are:
CR: 620-730 W: 660-740 M: 610-690).
At Carnegie Mellon, M is even higher (690-780). I get the impression that Carnegie Mellon is a rather science/math oriented place.

What I would recommend is to see what parts of the math (algebra, or geometry, etc.) you had trouble with and prep for that, focusing on areas you had most trouble with. If you prep and review your math, I would think you could definitely up your score by this fall. Use the Blue Book especially and practice the different concepts.

If you could improve your math score by 30, you'd be in a better place for Kenyon, since you're thinking of applying ED. (Although, of course, the more you can improve, the better!)

A lot of kids take it twice--junior year spring and senior year fall. If you practice your math and prep over the summer, I would say it's worth taking them again.

I would look up the stats for those schools, to see what their average scores are. You can do a quick search on www.review.com, rather than going to each school's site individually. If your stats aren't at least above average (you need to stand out from the pack), then I would retake.
