To those applying ED w/ 1300s SAT scores

<p>They look at your SAT I score. If it falls within their middle 50% range, which I think is 1320 to 1510 (I really don't know), then SAT immediately loses importance. It's kinda like a check-off thing. If you have a really good SAT score, fugghedabout thinking it's going to give you an edge. While scores higher than the middle 50 are always good and those lower aren't a reason to go and lay on an anthill, SAT is looked at once (at least that was what I was told.) Guy at Columbia said they read your essays and teacher recs first before looking at test scores. The guy said "I don't want to read an essay thinking 1280, rather, I want to read it subjectively, not objectiely." Interesting food for thought.</p>

<p>that is such heavenly good news for me. I hope 1310 is midrange. If not, I better darn well get above 1350 in Nov., lol.</p>
