To those at Cal doing Pre business....

Is the workload extremely time consuming and is there time to have fun?

And when you're in haas, does it get worse?

there’s always time to have fun.

yeah, it can be kind of time-consuming, but it’s really not that bad. And yeah, I’m having a great time at Cal (grades are decent too). what’s really time-consuming are business frats… 'nuff said.

Haas is just very competitive to get in, however most people in it can finish in 3 years so it’s not time consuming at all. Generally, all non technical majors are not very time consuming if you stay all four years. I’m an engineering major and involved in a business organization, yet I still have a lot of time for fun. Don’t sweat it

i’m also in pre-business under letters and science for berkeley 2013! (:
does anyone have any suggestions about which classes to take if we are planning on applying to haas later on?
thanks!

I recommend for a first semester:

Take a haas pre-req

Math 1A/1B (if you don’t have the AP credits to skip it)

A breadth requirement

R1A

I think it’s important to take a haas pre-req as soon as possible that way you can see if you’re interested in the subject.

what are the pre-req’s for haas

econ 1, ugba 10 aka business 101, stats 21

note: you can take econ 2 instead of 1 and stats 20 instead of 21, but I listed what most students take
