To UCSD students: Should I Dorm? plus other Q's

Thanks Fenris

LOL…beat around the bush, why don’t you, lol?

So basically, it’s NOT guaranteed to get a single room if you apply to the Village, correct?

If that’s true, that about does it. I am pretty anal retentive with my stuff, value privacy extremely, and plus one of my biggest pet peeves is sharing a bathroom with someone. I’m a guy and I hate dirty bathrooms, which would most likely occur if I shared one…Yuck!

100 dollars a month? Damn, what do you drive, a hummer?

I drive a Honda civic and my CC is 7-10 minutes away from my house and I gas up about once every 3-4 weeks = $27

And that’s including driving around for misc. activities!

If I go there, I would consider living at UTC or the near neighborhoods…

It’s not guaranteed, but there’s no penalty for applying. I’m applying just on the 25% chance that I do receive a single room. If I receive that room, I’m going to go for it. But feel free to not apply! The less applicants the better my chances are of having my own room!

If not, I’m thinking of trying to rent a place right across the street, maybe at Lebon or Nobel.

I don’t want to live with a bunch of guys.

*** $27 to fill up your car?!?!
I have a smallish car and it takes $50 to fill it up and if I drive smart (only go where necessary) I use it up in 2-3weeks and I live the same distances from my CCC too! I live in Pasadena (los angeles), so maybe thats why, but still! I want cheap gas :/

Small car, big gas tank.
