I received my confirmation receipts back from Georgetown (at my counselor's office, since they mailed it)..

Both return cards (it was for something that the school sent) were signed by Dean Gallucci, the Dean of the SFS.. That makes the ones I received today the THIRD card I received back from Dean Gallucci..

Am I to worry or not? Is it just coincidence? I mean, it was delivered and signed on different dates (I could tell with the ink and the date delivered stamp).. Ugh.. Just trying to make the most out of this damned wait!

PS- I just called the admissions office, and they said that I should be getting an email soon! He said they send them out in bunches, and it looks like my application "is all there." And if not, he said I'll get a letter.

Yay! My application wasn't lost! I'm really happy. :D

They aren't necessarily signed by the Dean. They could be stamped or signed by a registrar...I know that's the way it is at my school at least, if you need the principal's signature you go to her secretary or the registrar and they sign for you.

As far as being returned, I wouldn't worry to much. You're three times sure they received your info!

That's the way it's signed at my school too -- except three separate occasions, the first in August. All the exact same signatures, different color ink.

I'm just worrying too much, that's all. Pulling my hair out (if you know me, this would be funny)... :: goes off back to ROTC paperwork ::

Besides, I personally admire Dean Gallucci -- he's done some amazing stuff for North Korea during his time as the Ambassador at Large.. I've read a lot of material on the nuclear proliferation crisis...

I sent EVERYTHING to Georgetown via certified mail. It was worth it though, the satisfaction of knowing things arrived. Besides, it's my #1 choice for school, it deserves better than the best.
