Today is Hump Day!!!!

Today marks the midway point of plebe summer, and the changeover parade for the outgoing Cadre, responsible for the first three-odd weeks, and the fresh set that will carry the plebes through their final weeks!

And best of all- tomorrow is the second phone call to home!!!! Charge those cell phones up!!! (there is no way I am missing this call this time around!!!)

GO CLASS OF 2010!!!! :)

Yee Haw! Another step closer to PPW! Second half they get to do some fun things too! Trip to DC & ball game - it WILL be all right! ;)

As peskemom mentioned in other post, let's "pass the news" from respective plebes. Look forward to lots of good stuff (hopefully!) tomorrow evening.

Keep those prayers and letters flowing! :D

GO NAVY!

Just returned from a visit to the Yard today. Nice and hot! I believe the thunderstorms held off until after the parade. I was on Hospital Point for a Maryland Parent's Club picnic and saw Charlie Company completing the squad combat course. Lots of great teamwork going on! I also saw many Plebes running to their sports period this afternoon. I was greated by several with "Good afternoon, Mam!" They certainly have their Yes, Sir and Yes, Mam responses down pat! Won't be long now----PPW just around the corner!

thanks USNAMom! Great stuff! Hope you had a hot dog for us! :)

USNAMOM: thanks for the update- it was killing me not being down there to give our mid someone to look for in the stands! Tomorrow's phone call can't come fast enough!

I got a phone call from a fellow plebe mom ( thanks sistersunnie...you're a doll!!!!) who said she was at yesterday's change over parade - saw my plebe!!!! and that Alpha Company got a Platoon award for winning some competition and Mike Company ( which is MY and HER PLEBE'S!!) got the Supe's green ribbon for best marching in the last parade. Go Mike Company! Go Alpha Company! Go Class of 2010! Go Navy!!!

I'm betting that most parents have heard the story by now, but at the change over parade, the first set marched off and storm clouds began to roll in. The sky was orangish off to the right and if we were in Missouri, I would have said that it was tornado weather. Just as second set was sworn in ( as they yelled "I DO!") the heavens opened and it POURED.... you best believe that every single plebe on that field thought it was an ominous symbol for how second set would go!

yea, that was crazy.

hump day? wow i definitely thought this thread was gonna be inappropriate. i was surprised to see it in the Anapolis thread...lol
