Just an hour ago my Toefl score came out and it said to be 89.
Reading: 21
Writing: 23
Listening: 23
Speaking: 22
Would these scores get me rejected from Ivy league or MIT, Stanford, Caltech… even if I could be confident of having good SAT scores ( to be taken )
If you are not from east Asia, you do not have to retake. Otherwise …
I’m from India, what’s ur opinion now,… considering my scores and chances of getting in?
Each college sets its own testing requirements. You need to look at each college’s website to confirm. Competitive applicants will have a TOEFL of 100+. As it stand now, without offsetting SAT scores, then yes, your MIT application will automatically be rejected.

Regardless of the testing policies, a higher TOEFL score is in the applicants best interests. The language of instruction is English, and none of these colleges will admit an applicant who they don’t feel can handle the workload in English.
89 is likely to hurt you at super-selective schools. Sorry.
That score is low for such highly selective schools.
