TOEFL for permanent resident?

I know this is International Students subforum, but a lot of TOEFL questions go here :)
I took the SAT and scored 730 CR 800 W 12 essay, but I've only had English-speaking education for 2 years.
I don't have a finalized list of colleges yet, so I cannot check with certain schools.
Should I take the TOEFL? I need to decide now to start preparing and take it in the summer to be done with standardized testings before senior year.

Many colleges and universities will waive the TOEFL requirement because of your CR score. However, since you have been studying in English-language schools for only two years the chance is pretty good that some of the colleges and universities you apply to will ask for a TOEFL score. Speak with the ESL teachers at your school, and get their recommendations for good prep materials.

Alternately, you could use “not willing to waive the TOEFL even with this CR score” as a filter for the places that don’t make it onto your application list. Think about that option too.
