<p>Hello, everyone!
I applied to Tufts University Regular Decision this year.
I just took the TOEFL pbt in January because my first language
is not English.
I saw that Tufts requirement TOEFL score is 600....
I just got my score by mail and it was 590....</p>
<p>I'm in such a panic because Tufts was my dream school
and my top choice.
I moved to the States in 8th grade, so I didn't really
have to take the TOEFL but my SAT Reading&Writing
scores weren't too great so I decided to take the TOEFL.</p>
<p>What do you guys think?
Do you think the deans won't even bother reading my app? :'(</p>
<p>I'm about to cry now.... :(</p>
<p>If you went to HS in the US you’re not required to take the TOEFL, so I think they might not consider it. What’s your SAT/ACT score? If your scores are below the average doesn’t mean you’re already rejected. They will analyze it according to your context. Remember that at Tufts you’re more than numbers. Make sure you convey them your passion especially through the essays.</p>
<p>My SAT score wasn’t too great because of the English portion as I said.
My Math score was good though, which is 700. So I just hope that Tufts will
‘consider’ my toefl score as an option with the SAT score, not just throwing my
application out…</p>
<p>I am pretty confident with my personal essay and supplement essays because
they really show who I am, how I REALLY want to go to Tufts and stuff.</p>
<p>Thank you for your feedback! I feel so much relieved now. :)</p>
