TOEFL score report

Hello, I am an international student who applied to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCD, and UCSB.
Through MY UC Application, I put my TOEFL score as an English Proficiency proof which I got 88 in total.
However, I have a new score from the TOEFL that is scored as high as 101 in total.
I would like to know if the higher score would affect on my application compared to the lower score.
If it does affect, should I just update the TOEFL score through the tab of Update “TOEFL or IELTS-Academic” in the page of MY UC Application?
And also, should I contact the admission offices of all UCs that I applied to about this change?

Thank you!

Are you applying as a freshman or as a transfer?

If as a freshman, what is the testing date of your new score? If it’s after January 31st, I don’t think they will consider it. If it’s before that deadline, it should be forwarded to all relevant admissions offices via both an official score report and as an email with an attached unofficial copy.

If as a transfer…do they even take the TOEFL into account? My understanding is that they only look at your two English requirement course credit / grades and assume you meet the needed proficiency from there.
