TOEFL waiver?

How strict is Michigan's policy on the TOEFL?

I attend an international school in Korea, so I don't qualify for the TOEFL exemption policy. Nonetheless, I scored a 760 in the Critical Reading section of the SAT and obtained a 740 in the SAT II Literature test. I'm also currently taking AP Literature as well.

Do I still have to take the TOEFL anyways?

I'd hate to submit my application only to have admissions tell me that I have to take it anyways.

Yes, you do.

Unlike many other schools, Michigan does not grant TOEFL waivers.

Michigan has no automatic TOEFL waiver policy. However, you can write admissions directly to get a waiver.

From my experience, if you attend an English-speaking school and score over a 650 on the CR portion of the SAT, all it takes is a call to the admissions office to waive the TOEFL requirement. This said, you lose nothing by taking it any way.
